Alnclair Golden Retrievers
Our Boys from the Past
Norjean Mardi Gras
Photo taken at 11 years of age.
Our first Golden - if titles were given for temperaments Marde would be
the GRANDEST of Grand Champions.
As mentioned elsewhere on our web site, we bought Marde to reproduce the wonderful temperament we had from a cross-bred dog - our first family "child" Reba. All who knew Marde (even right up until the day before he went to the "Rainbow Bridge") commented about what a lovely natured boy he was. The night we had to have him put to sleep there was the most awful storm which we took to be a sign of how sad we were to finally lose our lovely boy. Dear Marde, your example of great temperament lives on in the yard and keeps us totally involved in Goldens.

Louis has been living with John & Janelle Polley & their daughters since February 1997 where he was absolutely loved to pieces. Sadly Lou had to be put to sleep following a stroke just short of his 14th birthday. Louis is buried here at "Alnclair" near most of his early pack members, and is greatly missed by the Polley family.
